Happy Valentine's Day!

It's good to be loved.
I am not big on sappy stuff. After 16 years of marriage, the Husband knows that expensive bouquets would only make me swoon because I could think of better ways to spend the money. In fact, I don't accept gifts of any kind well. If we're talking "Love Language", gifts isn't mine. (Words of affirmation, that's the ticket.) So today I got my "Love Tank" filled with words of love from the gentlemen in my house. Fortunately, I don't have to wait for one day of the year to be told how much I'm loved.
I hope you don't have to wait that long either!
Today, I told my 4 yo Sunday School class about St. Valentine and we made heart-shaped crafts..and we sang Jesus Loves Me. They LOVE that song and it certainly was fitting for today and everyday.

  1. I feel the same way about gifts-- flowers-- ugh! My DH is a landscaper so he is so hurt I don't feel the same way about flowers as he does. Words make me uncomfortable though. My son gave me a valentine yesterday-- he spelled dear-- dier! Isn't that not the cutest! I can not believe how much his valentine meant to me... I must have looked at a 100 times. I think DH felt upstaged by a 5 year old :) But the little guy did fill my love cup up! Glad your day was full of love and I hope all days are filled with "Mom, I love you :)"

  2. I didn't want to post on the above comment-- I haven't read it yet :) But I wanted to let you know that if you email little turtle knits to let her know you can't find your page 2 I am sure she can work with you! She did the same for me when I lost some patterns when my computer crashed-- she was able to resend-- never hurts to ask :)
